In case anyone was wondering just WHICH turtle I was dressed as for this cartoon, you can see that I'm wearing the dark yellow bandanna of Renoir, the OC of
Fans of the comic may notice however, that I don't use Renoir's hue of green. I did this for artistic reasons.I just think that color is puke ugly, andI wanted something darker for when I changed the whole thing orange for the finished piece. Truth to tell, I was never a big TMNT fan before I stumbled onto ~Tigerfog's comic. Afterwards I couldn't get enough of the teenaged terrapin terrors (ha! Alliteration!). Which is how we got to the Bakas, which was inspired by another of his projects. On the side note of the movie, Sleepaway Camp is one of the many slashers made in the tradition of Friday the Thirteenth, and was the first straight slasher that I ever managed to sit through. It is truly a marvel of WTF?! cinema. It does have a rather small cult following, which I guess all b-grade flicks do. I picked it up out of Blockbusternostalgia, thinking back to the dayswhen I didn't havethe courage to actually rent the movies, but would read the covers in the horror isle, letting my imagination run away. Oh yeah, and unless you are willing for some OMG WTF BBQ moments, don't ask me to pick the movies. I have a rather perverse sense of humor. |
