You know the Marvel Civil War between the superheroes the last couple of summers? All the heroes were fighting each other over a law that said that everybody with superpowers had to unmask themselves to the government. There was a whole big thing, lots of people died, things exploded, and history ended up getting rewritten (again). DD is DrunkDuck, a site that hosts thousands of amateur and professional webcomics. Last year a couple of guys on the DD forums thought it would be fun to create a DD version of the Civil War, where hero versions of the artists got together and fought a similar battle over registration. Like in the Marvel Civil War, there is a central comic that ties the whole plotline together, but each artist also has their own comic which tells their side of things, how they got involved in the war, what side they take, why, etc. This also means we get to draw each other's characters, appear in other people's comics, etc.

When is enough enough... What difference does it make when popular artist vent vent vent and support a site that tolerates deviant behaviour. HA! no wonder its all in a name.

Often misunderstood as "morbid" or "depressing", Your Darkest Dreams seeks to show this kind of photography in a new way: by showcasing art that is thought provoking, but at the same time unabashedly displays the beauty in darkness.
